THE FASHIONABLE 2000'S

Fashion trends of the 2000's consist of many clothing pieces. Who are skinny jeans made for exactly?

Think about the term skinny. I don't know who would like these jeans unless you are "skinny." I know I don't want my fat rolls hanging out of my pants; it's just not very attractive. Oversized-sweaters and tunics are more down my alley. These fashion trends hide flaws, imagine that: people have flaws! The oversized-tops hide hips, thighs, and butts! What more could a girl ask for? Now I will talk about the bold-colored-leggings. I don't know about you, but I don't need bold-colored leggings highlighting my thighs.

Vintage t-shirts are cool. They are so comfortable to wear and convey different messages, or graphics depending on the t-shirt you choose. Animal prints can be cool, but be careful to only choose one piece per outfit. What tends to happens if you choose more than one piece is that you either look like you came from the zoo or you end up looking too "matchy-matchy." My advice to you is to be wise in your selection of clothing because you only get one first impression. You cannot go back in time and change the impression you gave. I love ballet flats; they come in a variety of colors and styles. This shoe is a great alternative to the stiletto, but if you are short and need a little bit of height this may not be the ideal shoe for you.

Ruffles can be a great trend if you wear it right. I love ruffles because they can be sexy and flirty. You should proceed with caution when wearing any new trend. Avoid looking like the ruffle queen, and stick to choosing one ruffle piece per outfit.

The fingerless glove trend of this decade is stylish and multi-functional. You can pull off the finger pieces of the gloves to use your cell phone, type on the computer, and continue to do what you are doing without having the bulkiness of a regular glove. The new tops with jewelry attached are a great trend. The only problem I find is that the reproductions of this trend can be cheaply made and you find gaudy jewelry or jewelry pieces that fall off. Also, you have to make sure that the jewelry that comes with this clothing piece is detachable so that you can take it off when washing it. If you cannot detach the jewelry, it will get rusty in the wash and ruin the whole look of your top. This look is "hot" and has a great concept. The 1980's style has come back with a vengeance to make popular today, what was popular back then. Since I have grown up in this decade, I can describe to you pretty well the trends, and clothing concepts that are back in style. Besides the fingerless gloves, another accessory I will mention is the 1980's hats which include the popular veiled pillbox hat, which actually came from the princess of Whales, and trucker hats. The famous veiled pillbox hat looked just like a pill box with a veil over the top. This was not a good trend; it had a very cheap look to it, and just looked bad. The trucker hat is still used today, and is not a trend that I am fond of. The trucker hat looks like something you would get out of a Cracker Jack box.

Please follow my advice when wearing the new fashion trends because again you only have that one time to make a good first impression, and believe me you don’t want to ruin that job interview because of the way you dressed, or even missed an opportunity to meet “Mr. right” because of the way you dressed. You will feel much more confident when you know how to “rock the new trends. “ Listen to my advice and you will save yourself the embarrassment of highlighting your thighs with bold leggings, when you meant to detract from your thighs and just wanted to try a new trend because it looked cool. What about the time you selected more than one animal print and looked like a walking giraffe instead of a “hot chic?” Don’t forget about the time, you were named ruffle queen because you looked like a damn bird. I think you get my point! Don’t let it happen again, just heed my advice before you get out of control with the new trends. Please don’t hesitate, just ask me. My advice is priceless!!!
